Delhi CM Rekha Gupta celebrates BJP's Bengal win with jhalmuri and rasgulla
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta marked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s historic win in the West Bengal Assembly elections on 4 May by hosting a celebratory jhalmuri and rasgulla gathering at the Delhi Secretariat, as the party swept to power in the eastern state for the first time. The Bengali snack, jhalmuri, had been popularised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his West Bengal campaign trail, making it a symbolically loaded choice for the occasion.
