Key Takeaways
New Delhi, March 20 (NationPress) The Directorate General Resettlement (DGR) of the Defence Ministry is set to host a significant job fair specifically for ex-servicemen at the Aravali Auditorium, located near Shankar Vihar Metro Station in Delhi Cantonment, this Friday.
The event will commence at 7 a.m., and attendees are advised to bring their I-cards along with five copies of their biodata, according to a Defence Ministry representative.
According to the DGR, this job fair provides numerous advantages for industry employers, such as complimentary online registration, free job postings, no-cost stall allocations, and unrestricted access to the resumes of ex-servicemen.
Previously, a comparable job fair was conducted by the Defence Ministry in Chandigarh on March 17. These fairs serve as a focused platform aimed at connecting Ex-Servicemen from the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force with prominent employers in various sectors, including security, IT, administration, logistics, healthcare, and engineering, as stated by an official announcement.
A statement from the Ministry of Defence (MoD) regarding the Delhi job fair emphasized that this initiative showcases the ongoing dedication of the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare (MoD) towards the resettlement and well-being of ex-servicemen, ensuring that their discipline, leadership, and technical skills—qualities that are highly esteemed in the civilian job market—are duly recognized.
The DGR plans to conduct a total of 18 job fairs for ex-servicemen across multiple locations nationwide during the fiscal year 2025-26. Out of these, 17 fairs have already taken place in cities including Delhi, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Varanasi, Kolkata, Secunderabad, Jammu, Bhopal, Kochi, Guwahati, Dehradun, Bengaluru, Pune, and Chandigarh.
Ex-Servicemen will have the chance to present their skills to employers who acknowledge and value the unique contributions that these individuals can make to the workforce.
Employers will receive free access to a pool of dedicated, skilled, and mission-ready professionals upon registration. They can also schedule interviews and select candidates before the job fair.
Both employers and ex-servicemen can register online at www.esmhire.com, which is an AI-driven job platform. The registration link is also accessible on the DGR website at www.dgrindia.gov.in under the job fair section.
