New Delhi, April 14 (NationPress) The Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, T.S. Sandhu, participated in the Baisakhi festivities on Tuesday, emphasizing the importance of guiding the youth to safeguard our vibrant cultural heritage.
In a post shared on the social media platform X, Sandhu expressed his joy, stating, "I am thrilled to partake in the Annual Baisakhi celebrations hosted by the International Punjabi Society at the India International Centre today."
He highlighted that Baisakhi transcends being merely a harvest festival; it stands as a lively tribute to resilience, determination, and the unwavering Punjabi spirit that fosters community unity.
Sandhu remarked, "The Punjabi community's contributions have been pivotal in shaping Delhi's historical landscape and fueling its current development, particularly in areas like trade, industry, and the ethos of selfless service, or 'sewa', which are foundational to our National Capital's identity."
He urged, "As we honor our collective heritage, let's renew our dedication to transforming personal achievements into communal strength—by mentoring young individuals, backing aspiring entrepreneurs, and ensuring our rich cultural legacy is preserved for future generations."
Sandhu concluded with a hopeful message: "May the essence of Baisakhi inspire unity, compassion, and progress in all our endeavors."
Earlier that day, the L-G hailed the newly launched Delhi–Dehradun Economic Corridor as a transformative initiative, envisioning it as an "artery of progress" aimed at improving the living conditions for millions in the National Capital Region (NCR).
In his message on X, T.S.
