New Delhi, Dec 20 (NationPress) Delhi's Health and Transport Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh criticized opposition leaders on Saturday for engaging in trivial politics and directing personal and derogatory remarks towards Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.
Speaking to the media, he emphasized that instead of discussing the achievements and progress made during CM Gupta’s administration, opposition members are busy hurling personal accusations and disseminating derogatory messages against female leaders through posters.
Singh asserted that the citizens of Delhi will not be swayed by such trivial politics and unfounded claims.
“If the previous administrations of the opposition parties had genuinely served the people of Delhi, the current situation would have been significantly better. Sadly, their focus has been on their political gains rather than the public's welfare,” stated Pankaj Kumar Singh.
He condemned the use of posters aimed at a woman Chief Minister, labeling it as not just unfortunate but also entirely unacceptable.
“Such despicable and petty politics against a woman is intolerable in any democratic framework,” he articulated.
He challenged former Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party's National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal to name just five significant actions he took for the welfare of Delhi during his decade-long leadership and to clarify what he actually achieved concerning the health and transportation sectors.
According to Pankaj Kumar Singh, the opposition has driven vital sectors like health and transportation into immense financial losses.
“In stark contrast, the current administration is focused on reforms, accountability, and result-oriented governance,” he remarked.
Expressing optimism about the Delhi Transport Corporation returning to profitability soon, the Minister mentioned that this year, the public transport system will recover from losses and become financially viable.
He assured that tangible and positive outcomes will soon be evident on the ground.
He reiterated that the Delhi Government prioritizes action over politics, stating that under Chief Minister Gupta, the government is diligently working to honor the trust placed in them by aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a “developed Delhi.”
