New Delhi, April 29 (NationPress) Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa engaged with students from a government school in Sanjay Colony, Chhattarpur, and pledged to provide them with a new building before the upcoming Board exams.
“Our children deserve dignity, not neglect… Before you sit for your board exams, I will ensure this school gets a proper building,” stated Sirsa during an assessment of the civic amenities and infrastructure of the Senior Secondary School in the area.
He was joined by Member of Parliament Ramvir Singh Bidhuri and local MLA Kartar Singh Tanwar.
The Minister expressed his concern regarding the school's state, which revealed several issues, such as damaged tin-sheet roofing, unpainted classroom walls, worn-out benches, and an underdeveloped playground.
While addressing senior students, the Minister assured them: “Before you sit for your Board exams, I will ensure this school gets a proper building. Our children deserve dignity, not neglect.”
During his visit, the Minister spoke with the teaching staff, the principal, and students, promising immediate governmental attention to their needs.
“Fraudsters from the previous government deceived the people of Delhi in the name of an ‘education revolution.’ They transformed liquor shops into luxurious establishments while our children had to study under tin roofs during extreme weather. This is not revolution; it is betrayal,” Sirsa commented.
He continued, “Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the capable guidance of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the Delhi Government is moving beyond empty promises. We are laying the foundation for a visible, lasting impact where it matters most — our children’s future.”
Minister Sirsa pointed out that while infrastructure may have been neglected in the past by previous administrations, efforts are now being initiated to improve the prevailing civic conditions.
The Minister also visited Dera village, where he interacted with local residents and listened to their concerns.
He assured them that the village’s main road, drainage system, and other essential amenities would be enhanced in the upcoming months.
Sirsa also promised to escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate authorities for prompt resolution.
“Our government is always accessible to the public. We are committed to accountability and timely execution. All the issues raised today will be addressed within a specified timeframe.”
