Key Takeaways
New Delhi, March 30 (NationPress) On Monday, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, the Cabinet Minister and MLA from Rajouri Garden, launched a series of development initiatives totaling Rs 14 crore in the region, which encompasses projects focused on road construction and drinking water supply.
“This year, the Delhi government has allocated Rs 32,000 crore for capital expenditure aimed at infrastructure, surpassing last year’s Rs 30,000 crore. This investment is set to create transformative improvements throughout Delhi,” stated Sirsa.
The inaugurated projects include the renovation of drinking water and sewage systems, upgrades to PWD roads, and the enhancement of local parks.
He criticized former administrations, noting, “The challenges related to contaminated water and sewage, which we have inherited from years of mismanagement, will soon be addressed, providing relief to the citizens of Delhi.”
Expressing appreciation to the community and Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), Sirsa remarked, “We are grateful for the opportunity to serve you. We promised to repair every road, drain, sewer, and water line in this area, and we are committed to keeping that promise.”
He highlighted that substantial development requires adequate funding, asserting, “Transformative changes cannot be achieved solely through MLA funds. The administration under Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is investing over Rs 100 crore in development projects for each Assembly constituency.”
Sirsa mentioned that development works worth around Rs 175 crore are already in progress in Rajouri Garden within this initial year.
“I am pleased to report that numerous vital projects have commenced, and we will sustain this pace of development moving forward,” he added.
He guaranteed that all roads within the constituency will undergo redevelopment during his term. “Throughout my tenure, every road in the Assembly will be redeveloped. We are also upgrading all major PWD roads, internal lanes, and back lanes,” he affirmed.
Additionally, the Minister revealed plans for further enhancing local infrastructure, stating, “We plan to install advanced CCTV cameras across the constituency with improved features. Furthermore, the installation of boom barriers, streetlights, and other essential civic facilities will progress swiftly.”
