New Delhi, March 28 (NationPress) Delhi's Minister for Social Welfare and SC/ST/OBC Affairs, Ravindra Indraj Singh, expressed his sincere appreciation towards Chief Minister Rekha Gupta for allocating Rs 80 crore for the Improvement Scheme aimed at enhancing SC/ST colonies.
This initiative is a pivotal move towards fortifying the social and civic infrastructure within the national capital.
According to the Minister, the Delhi government is unwavering in its commitment to the vision of “Viksit Delhi, Samriddh Delhi”, continually striving to elevate the living standards for all segments of society.
During an event at Maharana Pratap Chowk in Shahbad Dairy ward, the foundation stones for various street and drainage improvement projects were laid, alongside the launch of ready-mix concrete roads, as per an official announcement.
The Minister emphasized that the government’s aim extends beyond merely executing development projects; it is about ensuring a dignified and comfortable existence for every citizen.
Under this scheme, the swift enhancement of critical civic infrastructure in SC/ST colonies will commence, including the construction of pucca roads, upgrading sewer systems, providing clean drinking water, improving drainage systems, installing streetlights, and other vital public amenities.
Such developments are expected to significantly elevate the quality of life in these areas, aligning them with other developed neighborhoods.
Construction has already begun on important routes, such as from JJ Cluster, D-Block, Shahbad Daulatpur (Dairy) to Rohini Sector-25, and from Prahlad Vihar Colony main road to Shahbad Dairy.
These initiatives will not only enhance local connectivity but also improve overall accessibility in the region, he stated.
The Minister assured that all development activities will be completed within the designated timeframe, maintaining high-quality standards to ensure residents do not encounter any inconveniences.
