In a significant announcement on February 7, Delhi's Chief Minister Rekha Gupta laid the foundation for development initiatives valued at around Rs 400 crore in the Matiala Assembly constituency, showcasing her unwavering dedication to progress.

The Chief Minister assured that there would always be sufficient funding available for rural development.

Criticizing past administrations, she noted that villages were often overlooked, leading to a lack of implemented development schemes. Consequently, infrastructure like roads fell into disrepair, vital services such as drainage and sewer systems were ignored, and rural areas remained isolated from overall growth.

She emphasized that these foundation stones symbolize more than just construction materials; they represent a robust foundation of public trust, enhanced amenities, and improved living standards for the community.

CM Gupta revealed that the Delhi government has allocated a budget of approximately Rs 400 crore for the Matiala region, which will significantly expedite development efforts.

She highlighted that the government’s mission is not limited to paperwork but aims to enact visible, positive transformations in the lives of all residents.

Attendees at the event included West Delhi MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Matiala MLA Sandeep Sehrawat, MCD Chairperson of Najafgarh Zone Savita Sharma, among other dignitaries.

Detailing the upcoming projects, the Chief Minister outlined plans for enhancing roads, drainage systems, parks, community areas, and various civic facilities.

Construction of roads linking urban and rural regions will enhance connectivity, facilitating easier travel and fostering local economic growth, she stated.

Focusing on rural enhancement, she mentioned the establishment of several new Arogya Mandirs in the locality, providing residents with better access to healthcare services.

Additionally, two Atal Canteens have been inaugurated in the Matiala constituency, offering nutritious meals for just Rs 5, which has been particularly beneficial for the economically disadvantaged, laborers, and underprivileged communities. Furthermore, the installation of new pipelines and tubewells in surrounding villages is set to bolster water supply systems, alleviating water scarcity issues.

Previously, the Chief Minister inaugurated a host of civic development projects in the AC and SD Blocks of the Shalimar Bagh Assembly constituency.

During her address, CM Gupta reiterated that the Delhi Government's goal extends beyond mere construction; it aims to ensure convenience, safety, and dignity in the daily lives of its citizens.

In the AC Block and SD (C) areas, plans include the construction and enhancement of roads, drains, and drainage systems, utilizing RMC (Ready Mix Concrete) technology and reinforcing drainage systems, which will help mitigate waterlogging during the monsoon season.
