New Delhi, Sep 11 (NationPress) Delhi Legislative Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta arrived in Bengaluru on Thursday to engage in the four-day 11th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India Region Conference, which commenced today, according to an official announcement.
The conference's central theme is “Heritage and Development: Towards a Balanced Future”.
Delegates and Presiding Officers from various parts of the nation will participate in this conference. Gupta is anticipated to deliver his address on Friday.
He emphasized that the CPA India Region Conference serves as a vital platform for reinforcing democratic traditions and institutions throughout the country.
Gupta expressed optimism that the discussions will yield fresh ideas aimed at enhancing the responsiveness of legislatures to the public's aspirations and further fortifying India's federal and democratic framework.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, who chairs the CPA India Region, officially inaugurated the 11th Conference of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association at the Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru.
Working sessions of the conference are scheduled for September 12 and 13, focusing on important themes, including the role of debates in fostering public trust, integrating modern technologies into parliamentary operations, and enhancing the legislative role in governance.
