New Delhi, Feb 26 (NationPress) Delhi Legislative Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta engaged in a fruitful dialogue with students from Ladakh and various other regions, emphasizing that such interactions are essential for fostering a confident and integrated India.

“When students from Ladakh and other parts of our nation visit democratic institutions as part of the SERU initiative, they not only traverse geographical boundaries; they reinforce the living bond of national unity. Such exchanges form the bedrock of a confident and integrated India,” stated the Speaker.

During an interactive session with a delegation of young minds from the Union Territory of Ladakh and other areas, Gupta highlighted that their visit to this historic institution was not just ceremonial.

He pointed out that it provides a crucial opportunity for young citizens to observe the workings of a democratic system based on dialogue, accountability, and public service.

He noted that within these walls, policies are crafted and public issues are addressed in alignment with the Constitution.

The visit was orchestrated by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) under the Students’ Experience in Regional Understanding (SERU) initiative.

Emphasizing the national vision, the Speaker highlighted that India is at a significant juncture.

He described Viksit Bharat as a vision that goes beyond mere economic growth, aiming for social inclusion, quality education, and technological progress.

Gupta reminded the students that the path leading to 2047 will be shaped by their integrity, innovation, and dedication to unity.

He elaborated on the program's guiding philosophy, "Aatm Deepo Bhav" (Be your own light).

He urged the students to nurture clarity of thought and self-assurance, asserting that the nation’s development is driven by individuals who think responsibly.

He recognized that every region, from the stunning landscapes of Ladakh to the vibrant capital, contributes to the nation's strength.

In a noteworthy administrative update, Gupta informed the students that the Audit Para Monitoring System (APMS) is now fully functional within the Government of NCT of Delhi.

This positions Delhi as potentially the first State Assembly in the country to implement such a comprehensive, real-time audit monitoring platform, establishing a new standard for financial transparency, he mentioned.

The Speaker also briefed them on significant digital advancements, including the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA).

Through this initiative, the Delhi Legislative Assembly has transitioned into a fully digital, paperless legislature. Moreover, the Assembly has achieved a vital environmental benchmark by converting into a solar-powered green legislature.

Upholding the spirit of democracy, Gupta announced that the Delhi Legislative Assembly is slated to be transformed into a distinguished Heritage Site.

This initiative will open its historic doors to the public, allowing citizens to experience firsthand the institution’s remarkable journey and its lasting contributions to India’s democratic structure.
