New Delhi, April 4 (NationPress) Delhi Cabinet Minister and Bawana MLA, Ravindra Indraj Singh, announced on Saturday the government's unwavering dedication to the comprehensive and equitable development of the rural sectors in the city.
He highlighted that, aided by the Irrigation and Flood Control Department, extensive infrastructure enhancement is underway through the Delhi Village Development Board (DVDB) fund, progressing swiftly across various villages within the Bawana Assembly region.
Singh elaborated that these initiatives include the construction of blacktop roads connecting Jat Khor to Punjab Khor, Majra to Jat Khor, development of Phirni Road and RCC drains in Punjab Khor and Bajitpur, and a blacktop road linking Bajitpur to Majra. Notably, the comprehensive development of Phirni Road in Harewali village is especially crucial as it had been pending for almost 30 years and is now prioritized for completion.
He asserted that these development initiatives extend beyond mere road construction, laying a solid groundwork for the long-term and holistic advancement of rural areas.
These projects aim to enhance connectivity among villages, ensuring safer and more efficient transportation, as well as providing permanent solutions to issues like waterlogging and drainage through the installation of RCC drains.
Furthermore, improvements in sanitation, health, and environmental standards are set to significantly uplift the quality of life for residents in these rural localities.
Singh acknowledged that Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has ensured ample budgetary allocation for the Delhi Village Development Board, which has expedited the development efforts.
This funding will pave the way for establishing sustainable, modern, and future-ready infrastructure in villages, promising long-lasting benefits.
Ravindra Indraj Singh mentioned that the Chief Minister is actively overseeing these development efforts, resulting in enhanced execution speed and quality.
He stated, “The impact of these initiatives is becoming increasingly evident on the ground.”
He reiterated the government’s goal to deliver robust road networks, efficient drainage systems, enhanced infrastructure, and a comfortable living environment in every village, ensuring that rural areas match urban facilities.
Singh noted that numerous development projects are consistently being inaugurated and launched, with this momentum expected to continue moving forward.
The Minister expressed optimism that these initiatives will grant a new identity to Delhi’s villages, drive historic improvements in connectivity and infrastructure, and serve as a strong, sustainable, and inspiring model for rural development.
