Mumbai, March 27 (NationPress) The Mantralaya Security Project is being initiated to bolster safety and refine the entry process for visitors. The first phase saw the implementation of a facial recognition entry system. Now, in its second phase, a comprehensive Visitor Management System (VMS) has been established.

Going forward, officials, employees, and visitors needing access to Mantralaya will be required to utilize the ‘DigiPravesh’ app-based entry system.

As per a statement from the Maharashtra government, access will be granted only to the specified floors and departments based on verified appointments.

Unauthorized entry to restricted areas will incur penalties.

Upon completing their tasks, visitors are expected to exit within the designated timeframe. To facilitate access for senior citizens and differently-abled individuals, priority entry will be available at 12 p.m., with a dedicated queue set up after that time. They must carry valid identification to utilize this service.

General visitors will be permitted entry after 2 p.m. through the DigiPravesh app.

Visitors are required to present an official ID, such as an Aadhaar Card, Driving License, or PAN Card, to receive the Mantralaya entry pass.

A help desk and registration counter will be established at the Garden Gate for individuals lacking smartphones or facing literacy challenges.

Upon registration via the ‘DigiPravesh’ app, a QR code will be generated, which must be scanned at the Mantralaya entry point.

Visitors will then receive an RFID access card for security checks. It is mandatory to wear the RFID card within the premises, and it must be returned at the security counter upon departure.

The ‘DigiPravesh’ app is accessible for both Android and iOS devices.

Users can download it free of charge by searching for 'Digi Pravesh' in the Google Play Store (for Android) or Apple Store (for iOS). Registration is required only once.

The system verifies each visitor’s identity using Aadhaar-based facial recognition. After successful verification, visitors can book a slot for their designated department, allowing for seamless entry without lengthy waits.

The entire process is completed in under three minutes, as stated in the release.
