New Delhi, March 8 (NationPress) During the two-day national convention titled 'Bharati–Nari to Narayani', women parliamentarians and leaders emphasized the significance of women’s empowerment deeply rooted in Indian traditions while addressing the audience in the national capital to commemorate International Women’s Day.

“I feel immensely proud that the Rashtriya Sevika Samiti has put together this program on International Women’s Day. Here, we are witnessing the immense power of Indian women, reflecting the actions our Prime Minister has undertaken to empower women, ensuring they receive rights and respect. This serves as a prime example,” she stated.
Referring to Indian spiritual philosophy, Patidar noted that Lord Shiva, in the form of Ardhanarishwar, symbolizes the essential role of women’s participation in society.
“By embodying Ardhanarishwar, Lord Shiva sends a universal message that the welfare of the world and society cannot be achieved without women’s involvement,” she added.

She underscored the importance of continuing such initiatives within society.
“As society evolves rapidly, the influence of Western culture is increasingly apparent. Thus, India must progress while remaining anchored in its rich traditions and culture,” she stated.
BJP MP Sumitra Balmik also addressed the cultural and traditional elements emphasized during the program held at Vigyan Bhavan.
She noted that on International Women’s Day, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, along with V. Shanta Akka, Director of the Rashtra Sevika Samiti, guided the event where women participants reflected on various cultural, national, political, and traditional legacies.
Meanwhile, BJP leader Sandhya Verma expressed her warm wishes to women nationwide, stating that the theme ‘Nari Tu Narayani’ encapsulates the growing strength and empowerment of women in India.
