New Delhi, March 8 (NationPress) The second day of the national conference titled 'Bharati: Nari Se Narayani', held in honor of International Women’s Day, featured a range of discussions focused on women’s empowerment, leadership, and spiritual strength at Vigyan Bhavan on Sunday.

Numerous political leaders, spiritual personalities, and accomplished women attended the National Convention of Women Thought Leaders, where they exchanged insights on women's pivotal roles in shaping society and contributing to nation-building.

Among the speakers were BJP MPs Kavita Patidar, Maya Naroliya, and Sumitra Balmik. Spiritual figures such as Anandmurti Gurumaa, Yogini Mukti Nath, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Maitri Giri, Sadhvi Anadi Saraswati, and Sadhvi Sunita Shastri also shared their thoughts, underscoring the spiritual and cultural importance of women within Indian society.

Ritu Karidhal, a senior scientist from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), reflected on the success of India's lunar mission while discussing the increasing involvement of women in science and technology.

She highlighted that during the Chandrayaan-3 mission, India achieved the remarkable milestone of landing near the Moon’s South Pole—the first country globally to do so.

“The landing site has been designated as the ‘Shiv Shakti Point’, symbolizing the invaluable contributions of women scientists and engineers,” she stated, motivating young women to pursue careers in science and innovation.

In an interview with IANS on the sidelines of the event, Mridula Pradhan, spouse of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, remarked on the global celebration of International Women’s Day, emphasizing that the theme of the event conveys a strong message.

“A woman embodies the essence of a goddess. The notion of ‘Nari to Narayani’ highlights the respect and strength accorded to women in society,” she noted.

Mahamandaleshwar Swami Maitri Giri asserted that women must showcase their innate strength in contemporary times. “In moments of crisis, divine feminine power has always emerged to restore harmony,” she observed.

Sadhvi Sunita Shastri stressed the significance of maternal energy in shaping society, asserting that mothers play an essential role in instilling values and discipline in children from a young age.

Sadhvi Anadi Saraswati also emphasized women's central role in upholding Indian values, culture, and traditions, acknowledging that women significantly contribute to society, both as spiritual practitioners and homemakers.

Yogini Mukti Nath stated that women are foundational in shaping the future of society. “Just as a mother gives birth to a child, she also nurtures and guides the child according to our traditions. While it is believed that the Divine writes a child's destiny at birth, it is the mother who shapes that destiny through her values and upbringing,” she explained.

Spiritual teacher Anandmurti Gurumaa noted that in India, every day symbolically honors womanhood. “Festivals like Navratri celebrate the reverence for feminine power. International Women’s Day offers another chance to acknowledge and honor women’s contributions,” she said.

This two-day convention aims to unite women leaders across various fields to discuss empowerment, leadership, and the evolving roles of women in modern India.
