New Delhi, April 26 (NationPress) The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) on Saturday bestowed appointment letters to 976 new recruits during the 15th edition of the Rozgar Mela.

This Rozgar Mela took place in 47 locations across the country. The event, which was addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via videoconferencing, witnessed the distribution of over 51,000 appointment letters to newly inducted youth in various government departments, including the EPFO.

“Through this significant recruitment initiative, EPFO is pleased to welcome new recruits to enhance its workforce, thereby ensuring the effective delivery of social security services to millions of subscribers throughout India,” stated the Labour Ministry.

Appointment letters were issued to 345 Accounts Officers/Enforcement Officers and 631 Social Security Assistants as part of this initiative.

The newly appointed individuals will aid EPFO’s mission of providing provident fund, pension, and insurance benefits, supporting the government’s vision of a strong and inclusive economy.

EPFO has set up a recruitment vertical at its head office to ensure consistent recruitments and has developed a recruitment calendar in accordance with the directives of Union Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya.

“In the past year, EPFO has successfully recruited 159 Assistant Provident Fund Commissioners, 84 Junior Translation Officers, 28 Stenographers, and 2674 SSAs, among others. Additional recruitment for APFCs, EO/AO, PAs, and ASOs is currently in progress,” the ministry informed.

The Rozgar Mela is in line with the Prime Minister’s commitment to emphasizing employment generation and empowering youth for nation-building.

EPFO’s involvement highlights its commitment to transparent and merit-based recruitment, utilizing modernized processes to enhance service delivery. The new recruits will have access to training through the iGOT Karmayogi platform, along with formal training designed to enable them to upskill and excel in their roles.
