New Delhi, April 26 (NationPress) A significant uproar has arisen following a senior official from the Pakistan Army making a throat-slitting gesture during a protest at the Pakistan High Commission in London, leading to widespread outcry. Former Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Director General of Police (DGP), S.P. Vaid, responded vehemently, demanding stringent action against those responsible.
"All these Pakistanis, whether within the embassy or outside, are products of madrasas and children of Zia-ul-Haq. They are familiar with nothing except throat-slitting," Vaid stated, urging the London Police to take prompt action.
"Decisive measures are essential. They should be declared persona non-grata and expelled," he further emphasized.
This provocative act has raised alarms over extremist behavior being publicly displayed on foreign soil. Communities of Indian origin and security analysts have called upon British authorities to act swiftly and decisively to avert further escalation.
In response to recent statements from Pakistan Peoples Party leader Bilawal Bhutto concerning the Indian government's suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, Vaid remarked, "Do whatever you want; we are ready for anything."
Regarding Pakistan's efforts to internationalize the Kashmir issue through disinformation campaigns, the former DGP asserted, "The ISI is primarily focused on disseminating unfounded propaganda. Our security agencies, however, are fully vigilant and will thwart their sinister intentions before they come to fruition."
Addressing Pakistan's unprovoked attacks along the Kashmir border the previous night, Vaid reiterated India's military preparedness: "The Indian Army is entirely equipped to deliver a suitable response to Pakistan at any time."
Vaid also addressed the recent discussions between Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Jal Shakti Minister regarding water-sharing agreements, stating, "By deciding to withhold even a single drop of water from Pakistan, regions like Punjab and Sindh will become arid. They will face challenges not only in agriculture but also in securing drinking water. Pakistan will be in dire need of irrigation."
