Lucknow, March 9 (NationPress) Ayushman Bharat, since its inception in 2017, has been transforming stories of despair into narratives of hope and recovery from critical health issues, funded by the government. Beneficiaries of this flagship initiative are reaping the rewards nationwide.
In Uttar Pradesh, Ram Prakash’s recovery from a bone ailment exemplifies how governmental support has become a crucial lifeline during challenging times.
Ram Prakash is receiving bone treatment at Moti Lal Nehru Divisional Hospital in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, with treatment costs covered by his Ayushman Card.
His son, Jai Narayan, shared with IANS: "My father is currently hospitalized. He is receiving treatment for bone issues, thanks to the Ayushman card. Without this card, accessing treatment would have been extremely difficult for us as we are laborers.
“With the Ayushman card, my father is receiving complimentary treatment at the hospital. The care he is getting is commendable. No previous government had offered such support. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has significantly aided impoverished families by launching this scheme. This card is a tremendous blessing for the underprivileged,” he remarked.
He further stated that the scheme has been a vital resource for them, expressing heartfelt thanks to PM Modi.
"The Prime Minister's initiative is remarkable. He is dedicated to assisting the underprivileged and marginalized populations. We are immensely grateful to him.”
Ayushman Bharat, also known as Pradhan Mantri-Jan Aarogya Yojana (PMJAY), is the world’s largest fully government-funded health insurance program.
It offers a coverage of Rs 5 lakh per family annually for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization in public and private hospitals across the nation.
