VGRC Surat: 5 partner nations on board, ₹1,349 crore disbursed ahead of summit
Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi on Thursday, 30 April 2025, reviewed preparations for the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) in Surat on the eve of the event, inspecting the venue and meeting leading industrialists from South Gujarat. Five countries have confirmed participation as partner nations, with ambassadors already present in Surat reviewing the city's development works.
Massive Subsidy Push Ahead of the Conference
In a significant pre-conference move, Sanghavi disbursed ₹1,349.50 crore in industrial incentives to more than 11,029 entrepreneurs through a single-click direct bank transfer. The funds were credited directly into the accounts of eligible beneficiaries spanning multiple sectors, underlining the state government's intent to signal investor confidence ahead of the summit.
