Jaipur, July 5 (NationPress) BJP president of Rajasthan, Madan Rathore, has asserted that former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is striving to remain in the media spotlight due to a fear that "his political influence is waning".
“Gehlot previously behaved like a magician, but now, the BJP administration in Rajasthan is actively engaging with the grassroots. This government is here for more than just five years -- it is set to endure for many years ahead,” he remarked.
Rathore went on to state: “While Govind Singh Dotasra claims Congress is a family, they should first achieve unity within their ranks. One day, Gehlot criticizes Dotasra, and the next day he targets Sachin Pilot. The Congress is loyal solely to one family, and their internal contradictions have become their hallmark.”
He added: “In our party, every member holds significance. Roles may shift, with some taking on district or state responsibilities, but everyone plays a part in our mission.”
Rathore also condemned Congress for allegedly trying to disrupt the state’s law and order.
“Our administration is dedicated to preserving peace and order. If any unfortunate incident occurs, it is usually orchestrated. Congress has a history of inciting unrest and creating instability. However, we are vigilant and will thwart their attempts. We honor all religions and will safeguard everyone’s sentiments.”
Rathore lauded the Antyodaya Sambal Pakhwada introduced by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, deeming it a pivotal initiative for combating poverty.
“... while Congress merely made declarations about poverty eradication, our government is executing substantial programs that benefit the most marginalized in society.”
He further emphasized BJP’s community-focused initiatives such as Vande Ganga Hall Conservation, Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam, and Antyodaya Pakhwada.
“These initiatives are grounded in public welfare. Congress should endorse these instead of being critical. If they aspire to establish a strong organization like the BJP or RSS, they need to learn unity, cease internal opposition, and prioritize the greater good over personal egos.”
Addressing the internal power struggle within Congress, Rathore remarked: “Gehlot is striving to maintain relevance as his central leadership promotes Sachin Pilot. Dotasra is also making rash statements due to insecurity regarding Pilot’s increasing clout.”
He also criticized RLP chief Hanuman Beniwal, accusing him of engaging in negative politics.
“Beniwal incessantly makes incendiary statements to stay in the headlines. But the people of Rajasthan are astute. They recognize the vision and efforts of the government led by Bhajan Lal Sharma and are backing actions that aim to bring genuine transformation to the state.”
