New Delhi, Feb 28 (NationPress) Union Minister Giriraj Singh openly mocked RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Friday for his accusations that the BJP is attempting to obstruct the political entry of Nitish Kumar’s son. He advised Tejashwi to concentrate on his own party and work on eliminating the 'Private Limited Company' label that the RJD has garnered under Lalu Yadav's leadership.
Giriraj dismissed Tejashwi’s claims that the BJP was hindering Nishant’s political prospects, defending Nitish Kumar’s record while contrasting it with the RJD’s tradition of dynastic politics.
“Everyone has the right to enter politics. The Constitution does not prohibit anyone. However, Tejashwi Yadav, who has converted the RJD into a family-centric party, should reflect on this. Lalu Yadav never allowed leadership to extend beyond his family,” Singh remarked.
“In contrast, Nitish Kumar has been in power for nearly 20 years without promoting his son into politics. As Chief Minister, he could have easily nominated him to the Rajya Sabha or encouraged him to contest in elections, but he chose not to support family rule. Unlike Lalu Ji, he has refrained from fostering dynastic politics. This is why Tejashwi is unnecessarily anxious. His party is merely a 'Lalu Ji Private Limited Company',” Singh asserted sharply.
On Thursday, Tejashwi Yadav claimed that the BJP, with backing from JD(U), was plotting to exclude Nishant Kumar from politics. He suggested that despite their political rift, Nishant could potentially save JD(U) from its current challenges.
“Nishant feels like family, despite our political differences with his father, who has been struggling lately. Clearly, the party could escape extinction if he steps forward. Thus, many within the BJP, aided by the Sanghis (JD-U), are engaged in a conspiracy to obstruct his entry,” Tejashwi alleged.
In addition, Giriraj Singh commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his recent blog about the Maha Kumbh, highlighting it as a testament to India's rich cultural and spiritual unity.
“The world and the nation witnessed our Prime Minister’s vision during the Maha Kumbh. You must have noticed how millions of devotees took part. According to some estimates, nearly 70 crore people attended in phases, with around two crore bathing at a time. Despite such large gatherings, there was no litter or mismanagement. The arrangements were exceptional. The Maha Kumbh has become an emblem of India’s cultural unity, astonishing the entire world,” Singh remarked.
