Bhopal, Feb 20 (NationPress) Final arrangements for the Global Investors Summit (GIS)-2025 are nearing completion, with the guest list being finalized, as stated by the Madhya Pradesh government on Thursday.
Entrepreneurs from over 60 nations have been invited to participate. The summit is set to see attendance from 13 ambassadors, six high commissioners, and various consul generals from important strategic countries.
The diplomatic team at GIS-2025 will be spearheaded by consul generals from Germany, Japan, Switzerland, and Malaysia, along with senior representatives from the United Kingdom, Poland, Netherlands, and Canada, as mentioned in the statement.
It is noteworthy that ambassadors from Nepal, Morocco, Zimbabwe, Angola, and Burkina Faso, as well as high commissioners from Rwanda, Seychelles, Jamaica, Lesotho, and Uganda, have confirmed their attendance.
The government also highlighted that the World Bank will have a significant role during GIS.
Furthermore, Dushyant Thakor, the Deputy Executive Director of the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA), will be in attendance.
Prominent global trade and investment promotion agencies have confirmed their presence, including JETRO (Japan), German Trade & Invest, Invest Ottawa, alongside top agencies from Italy, Canada, Australia, and Malaysia. Such participation signifies a strong interest in cross-continental investment in Madhya Pradesh.
The Governor of Russia’s Ulyanovsk Region, Ruskkikh Alexey Yuryevich, will lead a prominent delegation comprising senior government officials and business leaders.
Additionally, Raj Modi, Zimbabwe’s Deputy Minister of Industry & Commerce, will represent his country's burgeoning economic relations with Madhya Pradesh.
Several other ministerial delegations are also anticipated to confirm their participation shortly. Germany will be a key partner, sending a 35-member delegation that includes industry leaders from SAP, KPMG, and major venture capital firms. Japan’s collaboration via JETRO will focus on significant sector investments.
The United Kingdom will contribute expertise in innovation and technology.
