The conflict reportedly involved a group led by local businessman Bapi Halder and the Sona Pappu gang.
Bapi is recognized by the community as a businessman, and locals have alleged that Sona Pappu's gang is attempting to dominate the area, which is why they are targeting Bapi.
It is claimed that around 100-150 assailants, with their faces concealed by handkerchiefs, attacked the vicinity. Reports include allegations of gunfire and the use of crude bombs, along with sharp weapons during the assault.
Police vehicles and motorcycles belonging to locals were vandalized on the street, and bricks were thrown during the conflict. That same night, law enforcement recovered bullet casings and bomb remnants from the roadway.
