New Delhi/Gandhinagar, Jan 25 (NationPress) The Union Home Ministry revealed on Sunday that a total of 16 officers and personnel from the Gujarat Police Force are set to be honored with police service medals during the Republic Day celebrations on January 26, acknowledging their exceptional and commendable service.

The prestigious awards will be bestowed by President Droupadi Murmu as part of the national Republic Day honors.

The official list indicates that two senior officials from the Gujarat cadre of the Indian Police Service (IPS) are among those chosen for the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM), one of the highest accolades in policing.

The other 14 recipients will be awarded the Police Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM) for their unwavering commitment and contributions to public duty.
