Gandhinagar, Nov 13 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel, officially opened the illustrious 'Ahmedabad International Book Festival 2025' and 'Food for Thought Fest 2025' at the Sabarmati Riverfront Event Centre on Thursday.

In attendance were Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and numerous esteemed guests, all of whom pledged to support and advocate for Swadeshi.

During the event, the Chief Minister revealed the 'Mission Four Million Trees' coffee table book and explored various educational and literary sections, including the stall of the National Book Trust of India. He also left his mark on a canvas, expressing his pride and confirming Ahmedabad's readiness to host the Commonwealth Games 2030.

On this noteworthy occasion, Jay Patel, an Indian-American author, introduced his first book titled 'Barrister Mr. Patel', honoring the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, revered as the Iron Man of India and the Architect of National Unity. CM Bhupendra Patel officially launched the book, which was co-authored by renowned filmmaker and storyteller Abhishek Dudhaiya.

The Chief Minister also engaged with various exhibits at the Innovation Pavilion, praising initiatives from Recycle Green, IOTA Diagnostic Pvt. Ltd., WeHear, and KeenKey LLP. He took time to explore the Children’s Pavilion, specially designed for the Ahmedabad International Book Festival.

At the Spiritual Pavilion of the 'Food for Thought Fest 2025', he conversed with saints and spiritual leaders, received 'prasadam', and celebrated the rich culinary traditions that embody a harmonious mix of flavor and culture.

The event was marked by the enthusiastic participation of officials and office-bearers of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, literary personalities, and a large assembly of book enthusiasts and students.

The Ahmedabad International Book Festival 2025 is a collaborative effort between the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and the National Book Trust India, under the initiative 'Vanche Gujarat 2.0'. Running from November 13-23, the festival aims to prominently position Ahmedabad as a significant player in the global literary and publishing sphere.

The festival is set to honor Ahmedabad's rich literary heritage and vibrant cultural legacy, providing numerous opportunities for students designed to nurture creativity, learning, and active engagement.
