The newly inaugurated water distribution station, located in the Ghatlodia ward of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC)’s North-West Zone, was constructed at a cost of Rs 55.31 crore. This state-of-the-art facility features an underground tank with a pump house capable of storing 250 lakh litres and an overhead tank with a capacity of 25 lakh litres.
This project is poised to enhance water supply in the Ghatlodia locality, ensuring adequate water pressure for approximately 125,000 residents across an area of nearly four square kilometres.
Furthermore, CM Patel inaugurated the newly constructed Bodakdev Sub-Zonal Office of the AMC, named in honor of the late Bansibhai Pranlal Patel, a distinguished photographer (1910-2014) celebrated for capturing images of national icons like Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel.
This new administrative facility is designed to offer enhanced convenience to the residents of the West Zone.
