Key Takeaways
Gandhinagar, March 23 (NationPress) The Gujarat administration announced on Monday that the supplies of petrol and diesel in the state are sufficient, refuting any rumors regarding a shortage and advising citizens to remain calm and avoid hoarding.
Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi stated that the fuel shortage claims circulating on social media are baseless.
“The state possesses an ample stock of petrol and diesel, thus there is no reason for the public to panic or stockpile,” he affirmed.
Sanghavi urged residents to disregard and not propagate unverified information. “Individuals should not place their trust in rumors spread via social media and should also refrain from disseminating such misinformation,” he cautioned.
He further mentioned that the situation is being regularly monitored at the highest levels.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel is overseeing fuel availability every two days, while Sanghavi convened a meeting on Monday to evaluate the current stock and supply across the state.
According to the Deputy Chief Minister, ongoing assessments are being conducted to guarantee a seamless supply at petrol stations.
“Should there be any technical or other complications in supply anywhere, they will be promptly noted and addressed,” he assured.
Sanghavi also indicated that the administrative apparatus has been put on standby to react to any reports of shortages or attempts to disseminate rumors.
Authorities are exercising close control over fuel distribution to ensure regular operations.
This clarification comes amid increased public concern regarding fuel availability, as recent weeks have seen worries about energy supplies in various parts of India due to global disruptions.
The Union Petroleum Ministry has confirmed that fuel supplies, including LPG, are stable and uninterrupted, even with geopolitical tensions impacting global energy markets.
Officials reported that fuel supply operations throughout Gujarat were reviewed during the day and characterized the overall situation as stable, with no shortages indicated.
