Ahmedabad, Oct 9 (NationPress) As India transitions towards a cleaner and more sustainable future, Gujarat is at the forefront of this energy transformation, stated Karan Adani, Managing Director of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ), on Thursday.
During the ‘Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference’, he emphasized that from the arid landscapes of Kutch to the shores of Saurashtra, the state is redefining the energy dynamics of the future.
"At the Adani Group, particularly through Adani Green Energy, we are honored to contribute to this evolution -- establishing what will soon be the world’s largest renewable energy facility in Khavda, Gujarat, boasting a capacity of 30,000 megawatts," Karan Adani remarked to the audience.
Moreover, the Adani Group is fostering a manufacturing ecosystem centered on solar, wind, copper, green hydrogen, and green PVC, ensuring that India’s green transition is genuinely ‘Aatmanirbhar’ and prepared for the future, he noted.
He further asserted that under the visionary guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Gujarat has emerged as a beacon of India’s advancement and self-sufficiency.
"Gujarat has evolved into a hub where entrepreneurship converges with inclusion and where policy aligns with purpose. For us at the Adani group, Gujarat is not just our origin; it is our home, our base, and our future. Today, Gujarat stands robustly, significantly contributing to India’s growth narrative. Yet, beyond the statistics lies a more potent force -- the spirit of its people," Karan Adani emphasized.
Every entrepreneur, every worker, and every young student in this region understands that Gujarat’s success is intrinsically linked to India’s progress, and this conviction is Gujarat’s most formidable asset, he added.
"This exemplifies self-reliance in action -- manufacturing in India, innovating in India, and empowering in India. Our partnership with Gujarat spans three decades, covering ports, logistics, energy, and new-age materials. As a corporation, we have already invested Rs 2 lakh crore in the past five years," stated Karan Adani, adding that regional conferences like this are vital as they facilitate deeper engagement, focused discussions, and new collaborations on the upcoming wave of opportunities.
The Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference commenced with Chief Minister Patel inaugurating the Trade Show and Exhibition in Mehsana. Union Railways, I&B, and Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw was also present at the inaugural event.
