New Delhi, July 8 (NationPress) Gautam Adani, the Chairman of the Adani Group, released a captivating video on Tuesday highlighting the revival of green energy fueled by its vast array of solar facilities throughout India, including the notable site in Khavda, Gujarat. This initiative underscores the conglomerate’s dedication to honoring its commitments.
The video, shared via Adani's social media, illustrates how the ‘sooraj bhaiya’ (sun) is illuminating and enhancing lives by utilizing solar energy at the world's largest renewable energy installation located in Khavda, part of Gujarat's Kutch region.
“Our actions embody the promises we make. Promises to brighten lives, to energize dreams where shadows once prevailed, and to bring the sun to every village. The rays of change are upon us. Hum Karke Dikhate Hain!,” stated the Adani Group chairman on X.
The advertisement promoting Adani Group’s green energy initiative has garnered significant attention on social media, reminiscent of its previous innovative campaigns.
Importantly, Adani Group is constructing the world’s largest renewable energy facility, boasting a capacity of 30,000 MW, on the arid land in Khavda, Gujarat. Spanning 538 sq km, it is five times larger than Paris and can even be seen from space. Upon completion, it will stand as the largest power plant on Earth across all energy sources.
Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), recognized as the leading renewable energy firm in the country, has recently achieved a remarkable milestone by exceeding 15,000 megawatts (MW) of operational capacity, specifically reaching 15,539.9 MW.
This operational capacity of 15,539.9 MW can supply energy to around 7.9 million households and illuminate thirteen states. AGEL’s operational capacity is sufficient to power the entire northeastern region with renewable energy. This milestone coincides with AGEL celebrating a decade of delivering clean and affordable energy to India at an unmatched pace and scale.
“Driven by Gautam Adani’s vision to establish Adani Group as a global leader in renewable energy, AGEL is focused on setting new standards in innovation and operational excellence – demonstrating that clean energy can be produced at unprecedented scale and speed,” remarked Ashish Khanna, CEO of AGEL, commenting on the achievement of surpassing 15,000 MW of operational capacity.
