Earlier in the day, CEC Gyanesh Kumar reassured a commitment to a peaceful and transparent assembly election in Bihar, emphasizing a "zero tolerance towards violence".
While speaking with reporters, he stated: "The ECI maintains a zero tolerance policy towards violence. The elections in Bihar will be conducted in a peaceful, lawful manner, ensuring complete transparency so that every voter can express their will during this democratic festival..."

The initial phase of the Bihar election is scheduled for November 6, the second phase on November 11, with counting taking place on November 14.
Speaking at an event organized by the Mathur Vaishya Samaj in Kanpur, he referred to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Bihar's electoral rolls as the world's largest effort to purify the voters' list.
"When the electoral rolls reflecting names of 51 crore voters across 12 states are purified, it will mark a historic milestone, something unprecedented in the past," he concluded.
