Chandigarh, May 8 (NationPress) Haryana’s Health and Family Welfare Minister Arti Singh Rao announced on Thursday that, due to the escalating situation with Pakistan, the government has implemented a ban on all leave for officers and employees in the Health Department.
This measure aims to ensure the continuity, efficiency, and prompt response of health services across the state.
“During this critical time, the health system must remain fully operational to address any emergencies and provide essential medical services to the public without delay,” she emphasized in her statement.
She instructed all Civil Surgeons and Chief Medical Officers to refrain from granting any leave—be it casual or pre-approved—to their subordinate staff until further notice.
All officers and employees are required to remain at their district headquarters and be present at their places of work.
In cases where leave is absolutely necessary, prior authorization from the Director General of Health Services is mandatory. No employee will be permitted to take leave without this approval.
“We must unite during this time. The Health Department is the backbone of our state, and it is crucial for it to remain operational in the face of war or emergencies,” she noted.
The minister also urged all health professionals to carry out their duties with utmost loyalty, dedication, and service spirit, and to avoid any form of negligence.
She assured that the government would provide all necessary resources and support to avoid disruptions in health services.
Additionally, she instructed officials to assess the readiness of all hospitals and health centers and enhance necessary arrangements.
