Haryana Chief Minister Evaluates Progress of 700-Bed Hospital in Gurugram

Gurugram, Dec 25 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini, convened a meeting on Tuesday to assess the progress of the construction of a 700-bed civil hospital that is set to be established in Gurugram.

This hospital is part of the state's commitment to enhance healthcare services in the region.

During the session, Sudhir Rajpal, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Health Department, reported on the construction developments of the civil hospital located in Civil Lines. He revealed that the hospital will occupy a land area of 7.73 acres and is projected to cost approximately Rs 990 crore.

The facility will feature a 13-storey structure, which includes a basement, ground floor, and eleven additional floors.

Key facilities will comprise 60 ICU beds, 12 operation theatres, and an emergency helipad, among other significant amenities.

He also noted that there is currently a government school situated on nearly 1.5 acres of land, which could be relocated to enhance the future space and accessibility of the hospital.

The state government is considering moving the school to a 2.5-acre plot owned by the Education Department, located across the road.

Following a comprehensive report on the hospital's construction progress, the Chief Minister instructed that arrangements be made in line with the project's timeline.

He emphasized the importance of ensuring the hospital is equipped to address the future medical needs of the city.

Additionally, he directed that the new school building, as proposed by the Education Department, be designed as a multi-story structure.

He specified that the school should continue its operations in its current facility until the new building is completed.

Among those present at the meeting were Union Minister of State Rao Inderjit Singh, Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao, Industries and Commerce, Environment, Forest and Wildlife Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Pataudi MLA Bimla Chaudhary, Sohna MLA Tejpal Tanwar, Gurugram MLA Mukesh Sharma, CMO Virender Yadav, and other officials.
