Chandigarh, Feb 27 (NationPress) Haryana's Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, addressed the Assembly on Friday, revealing that the state government has initiated multiple measures aimed at boosting skills and creating job opportunities for the youth.

He highlighted that strict measures are being enforced against travel agents involved in the illegal 'donkey route' for sending young individuals abroad.

"For any youth aspiring to travel overseas, the government has launched the Foreign Cooperation Department to provide necessary assistance. This department facilitates access to employment and educational opportunities internationally," he stated.

The Chief Minister's remarks came in response to questions raised by the Opposition regarding the Governor’s Address during the Budget Session of the Vidhan Sabha.

He mentioned that the Foreign Cooperation Department's website offers a wealth of information on employment, education, trade, and investment options abroad.

Moreover, it features a list of authorized agents who are legally allowed to facilitate international travel. Youth can find details about the process of traveling overseas, the documentation required, and the assistance provided by the government on this platform.

In addition, he urged the state's youth not to be misled by agents who engage in illegal practices for sending individuals abroad. To combat fraud and regulate travel agents, a new law has already been put in place, the Chief Minister affirmed.

He also noted that the Haryana Foreign Cooperation Department and Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam Ltd successfully organized the Panchjanya -- 2026 program on January 3.

As part of this initiative, employment offer letters were distributed to 210 youths for jobs in Dubai. So far, 390 youths have been sent to Israel in two phases, earning a monthly salary exceeding Rs 3.38 lakh.

The Chief Minister further indicated that a demand for 10,000 workers has been received from international employers. Through the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam, announcements have been made to send 7,600 qualified candidates to Israel and 100 to Oman.

The selection process is currently in progress, the Chief Minister concluded.
