Gurugram, April 18 (NationPress) Haryana's Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced on Friday that in pursuit of a ‘Viksit Bharat,’ Haryana is set to transform into a manufacturing hub in the near future. Over the past decade, thanks to industry-friendly and labour welfare policies, Haryana has positioned itself as one of India’s foremost industrial powerhouses, he stated.

The Chief Minister made these remarks while addressing a post-budget meeting with industry representatives at the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs in Manesar.

He highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a developed India by 2047.

To realize this vision, the budget for the Department of Industry and Commerce has been increased to over Rs 1,848 crore this year, which reflects a 129% increase from the previous budget.

He mentioned that feedback from industry representatives, particularly from sectors like construction, textiles, and startups, has been integrated into this year's budget.

Industry representatives expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for considering their suggestions.

"The Haryana government has introduced various initiatives in the current financial year’s budget aimed at enhancing the quality of life for industrial workers. 300 Atal Kisan Shramik Canteens will be established across all industrial zones to cater to the dietary needs of workers, ensuring they have access to nutritious meals at affordable prices," the CM stated.

He further mentioned that Haryana is poised to become a manufacturing hub by aligning its industrial policies with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visions of ‘Make in India’, ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’, and the objective of ‘Make in Haryana’.

"Haryana currently ranks fifth nationally in GST collection, a testament to the progress of its industrial sectors. Our geographical location, surrounded on three sides by the National Capital Region, provides exceptional connectivity to neighboring states such as Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. This proximity opens up vast consumer markets and exceptional logistics infrastructure, attracting global investors to Haryana," he asserted.

The Chief Minister elaborated on several key initiatives undertaken by the Haryana government, such as the Haryana Enterprises and Employment Policy-2020, designed to foster a business-friendly environment and stimulate investment.

"To facilitate a smooth approval process for investors, the Haryana government has implemented an online single-window clearance system, which has significantly improved our ranking in the Ease of Doing Business Index," he added.

In this system, all necessary approvals are granted within 15 days. If any documentation is incomplete, a 30-day period is allotted for rectifications. More than 150 services across over 40 departments are now available online through this portal.

"To enhance the industrial policy, the current budget includes provisions for a new industrial policy and the simplification of HSIIDC's EMP. Following the model of IMT Kharkhoda, 10 new Industrial Model Townships (IMTs) will be developed in Haryana, with land demand registration available via the e-Bhoomi portal," he stated.

Efforts are underway to make the land pooling and partnership policy appealing to landholders, ensuring equitable development benefits.

New industrial townships will be established as world-class smart industrial parks, catering to both current and future industry needs. Recognizing the significance of startups in economic growth, the Haryana government aims to establish incubation centers in every industrial estate as part of this year's budget.

These centers will provide essential infrastructure, mentorship, and funding opportunities to aspiring entrepreneurs, empowering them to transform their innovations into successful enterprises.

The Industry and Commerce Minister, Rao Narbir Singh, affirmed that the state's industries are poised for rapid growth.

He noted that tenders for infrastructure projects like roads, sewage, and cleanliness have been issued across all industrial estates in Haryana. Work on these initiatives will commence within the next three months, with completion expected within six months.

"A new policy is also being formulated to promote industries, which will involve the establishment of new industrial zones," he stated.

Singh urged industry representatives present at the meeting to contribute to environmental protection. He pointed out that polythene poses a significant environmental threat, advocating for the search for new packaging alternatives to ensure a cleaner environment in the future. Additionally, he emphasized the need to use environmentally friendly materials in everyday practices.
