During a review of the wheat procurement process at the Babain grain market in Kurukshetra, CM Saini engaged with farmers on topics such as transporting wheat to the market, selling their crops, and receiving payments. The farmers expressed their appreciation for the government's efforts, stating they had encountered no issues.
The Chief Minister honored farmer Dharamchand from Hamidpur by draping him with a shawl after witnessing him sell wheat.
Upon arriving at the grain market, he was warmly greeted alongside Suman Saini, Vice-President of the Haryana State Child Welfare Council.
CM Saini also shared that a three-tier crop verification system has been introduced. This system guarantees that the crops delivered to procurement centers align with those registered by farmers, enhancing the accuracy and reliability of the verification process.
Furthermore, he emphasized that the government is diligently managing procurement operations with total transparency, accountability, and order, reaffirming the administration's commitment to farmers' interests by ensuring the purchase of every grain produced.
The Chief Minister highlighted the comprehensive reforms in the procurement system, including the appointment of nodal officers in every market. Senior officials are assigned to consistently monitor district markets, while Deputy Commissioners oversee the district-level procurement framework.
Additionally, he mentioned that ministers and MLAs regularly visit markets to assess arrangements, ensuring farmers experience no discomfort.
