Haryana Chief Minister Criticizes Congress and AAP on Agricultural Matters, Commends PM Modi’s Efforts

Chandigarh, Dec 13 (NationPress) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday stressed the necessity of buying crops from farmers at the minimum support price (MSP). He directed his criticism towards the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) administrations concerning agricultural issues and urged them to guarantee that all crops are acquired at MSP, thereby assisting farmers in their respective regions.

While addressing the press in Chandigarh, Saini criticized the Punjab administration, calling for immediate actions to empower farmers within its territory.

"The state government must place farmers' welfare at the forefront in the regions it governs. Punjab should step up and reassure its farmers that all crops will be procured at MSP," he stated.

Emphasizing the farmer-friendly initiatives implemented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the last decade, Saini argued that these actions have unsettled opposition parties.

“The Congress and other members of the INDIA coalition often politicize every measure taken in favor of farmers. Their opposition only showcases their indifference to farmers’ welfare,” he added.

The Chief Minister expressed these views during the launch of a craft exhibition in the city.

Saini also praised the Union Cabinet's endorsement of the ‘One Nation-One Election’ initiative, describing it as a landmark move towards conserving time and resources.

“This initiative will greatly benefit the general populace by accelerating developmental projects and ensuring that India attains developed nation status by 2047,” he remarked.

In response to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s concerns that the initiative could disadvantage regional parties, Saini accused the Punjab administration of not fulfilling public expectations.

“In Delhi, AAP leaders are caught up in corruption scandals and have failed to keep their commitments of transparent governance. Instead of politicizing reforms, they should concentrate on enhancing people's lives, providing clean drinking water, and cleaning the Yamuna River,” Saini asserted.

He forecasted a setback for the AAP in the forthcoming Delhi elections, stating that the public has become disenchanted with the party’s governance.

Focusing on the Congress, Saini pointed out that the party has been shunned by the electorate due to its history of deception and ineffective governance.

“Congress-led administrations in Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, and Telangana have not acted in the people's interest. Their shortcomings are obvious, just as they faced defeat in Haryana and Maharashtra," he observed.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioners from Haryana’s Jind and Ambala districts have communicated with their counterpart in Sangrur, Punjab, requesting adequate medical support for farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, whose hunger strike has now reached its 18th day.
