Has the Condition of Punjab Worsened Under AAP?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Chandigarh, Jan 16 (NationPress) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini asserted on Friday that the situation in Punjab has significantly declined during the AAP government's tenure, even more so than during the Congress administration. He emphasized that Punjab is lagging behind in law and order, development, and public welfare.
While addressing the media at the Punjab BJP state office in Chandigarh, where a number of leaders joined the party, CM Saini pointed out the increasing sense of insecurity among Punjab's residents. He reported that the fear prevalent in 2014 continues to haunt the state, with no notable improvements since then. He insisted that only the Bharatiya Janata Party can liberate Punjab from this climate of fear, alleging a complete collapse of law and order under the AAP administration.
Highlighting the achievements of his government, CM Saini noted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, the double-engine government is propelling development in Haryana forward. He stated that substantial funds are being allocated to healthcare, benefiting vast segments of the population, and that free treatment is being provided for kidney patients.
On agricultural initiatives, he mentioned that the Haryana government is ensuring a minimum support price (MSP) on all crops and vegetables, while incentivizing farmers per acre for not burning stubble.
