Chandigarh, Nov 7 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini, stated on Friday that the residents of Punjab are increasingly disillusioned with the mismanagement of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and are now looking for development and effective governance.
Speaking at a rally for the Tarn Taran Assembly bypoll, he emphasized that this election is crucial for determining Punjab's future for years to come. He asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its candidate Harjit Singh Sandhu embody the promise of genuine transformation.
Before the rally commenced, CM Saini visited Gurdwara Bir Baba Budha Sahib, offering prayers for the advancement of both the nation and the state.
He launched a fierce critique against both the Congress and AAP, claiming they have collectively hindered Punjab’s progress. Under the Congress administration, corruption, bribery, and drug issues have undermined Punjab's foundations. Meanwhile, AAP has misled citizens with unfulfilled promises of change.
He accused former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of failing to keep his commitment not to partner with Congress, stating, “In the pursuit of power, Kejriwal has compromised with both Congress and corruption.”
CM Saini remarked that during the catastrophic floods that affected Punjab, both Kejriwal and Punjab’s Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann were absent. “One was in Delhi while the other was hospitalized.” The Haryana government has directed officials to provide all necessary assistance to flood-affected areas in Punjab.
He pointed out that despite receiving a significant mandate three years ago, AAP has let down the public.
Highlighting Haryana's achievements, he noted that the state currently ranks fourth in national development. “Our welfare initiatives directly benefit the populace. Compensation for agricultural losses is transferred directly into farmers’ bank accounts. Our governance is marked by transparency and accountability.
He added that the BJP government in Haryana, now in its third consecutive term, has honored most of its commitments. “While AAP has fostered corruption, the BJP in Haryana has made tangible improvements in the lives of farmers, youth, and women.”
The Chief Minister asserted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Haryana is making significant strides. “If Haryana can progress, why can't Punjab? For Punjab to advance, it must embrace the lotus—the emblem of development and stability,” he concluded.
