H.D. Kumaraswamy: Congress Will Not Succeed in Undermining JD(S) in Karnataka

Bengaluru, Jan 3 (NationPress) Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel H.D. Kumaraswamy declared on Friday that the Congress Party will not be able to succeed in its 'Operation Hast' which is intended to eliminate the JD(S) in Karnataka.

While speaking to the media in Bengaluru, Kumaraswamy, who is the Chief of JD(S) in Karnataka, stated: "The Congress is scheming to dismantle our party by attempting to entice 12 or 13 MLAs. I am fully aware of these plots. We understand the Congress's motives. Their wrongdoings are accumulating, and they will face divine justice in due time."

He expressed his unwavering confidence in the loyalty of his MLAs, saying: "They keep me updated on the Congress's maneuvers. We have the strategies in place to protect our party. No one can destabilize or diminish the JD(S)."

Kumaraswamy criticized the Congress government for its unkept promises regarding welfare schemes, stating: "There is a rush to propose unrealistic initiatives. Observe the situation in Himachal Pradesh following similar commitments. Congress MLAs and ministers should reflect on their actions, witness the unfolding events in the state, and reconsider the path they are charting for Karnataka."

The Union Minister pointed out that instead of introducing new development projects, the government has resorted to increasing prices.

He compared the current governance to that of previous administrations, noting: "In the past, price increases were only implemented when absolutely necessary. Adjustments were made to lower prices whenever feasible. However, the mismanagement by this government has shifted the entire burden onto the citizens, compelling them to bear the costs of every issue."

Expressing his dissatisfaction over the recent bus fare hike, he remarked: "The government has raised bus fares by 15 percent, imposing a significant burden on the public. Although people are expressing their anger, they eventually adapt. They protest for a couple of days before becoming used to the increased fares. This is the reality we face."

He added: "This same Congress administration has imposed a cess on diesel and petrol. Did the public protest? No, they adjusted. They've increased stamp duty, guidance values, liquor prices, and now milk prices are expected to rise. Furthermore, there are discussions about increasing water tariffs next."

In response to media inquiries, Kumaraswamy stated: "The names of Nikhil (his son) and Anita Kumaraswamy (his wife) have surfaced in a fraud case involving one Aishwarya Gowda. I am aware of the individuals orchestrating this."

He continued: "It is evident how thorough the investigations are under this government. They should disclose when the accused Aishwarya Gowda met Nikhil and Anita. They have not even interacted with her."
