Jaipur, Aug 31 (NationPress) Rajasthan Law Minister Jogaram Patel has provided clarity on the state government's position regarding the SI recruitment case.
Addressing the media in Jodhpur on Saturday, Patel stated, “The High Court has not annulled the SI recruitment; rather, it has made observations for the government to consider. These observations will be reviewed by the Law Department and subsequently sent to the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC).”
He claimed that the irregularities were committed during the tenure of the former Congress government. He remarked, “All RPSC members and chairpersons appointed during the Congress regime are now under scrutiny. The court itself indicated that in light of RPSC members' involvement, a comprehensive investigation and restructuring of the commission are imperative.”
Minister Patel noted that the BJP government took swift action when the paper leak incident occurred, forming a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and registering the first FIR without delay.
“This recruitment happened under the Congress government, yet they took no action,” Patel asserted.
Regarding the possibility of appealing to the division bench, the minister confirmed that the Law Department is currently examining the matter.
He encouraged petitioners impacted by the ruling to file their own appeals. Additionally, Patel mentioned that the court has suggested merging 1,051 other pending posts with this recruitment and allowing all 2021 candidates to reapply.
“Those found guilty—be it a minor player, political figure, or a powerful individual—will face consequences. Innocent individuals will be protected, and the investigation will be entirely transparent,” he promised.

The accused communicated with members Sangeeta Arya, Manju Sharma, and Jaswant Rathi regarding questions for their children, revealing systemic corruption.
