Indore/Maheshwar, Jan 19 (NationPress) In a disturbing hit-and-run event that underscores road safety issues in Madhya Pradesh, a carelessly driven speeding vehicle collided with four pedestrians and a motorcyclist near Yashraj Colony in the Dhargaon police station area of Maheshwar tehsil, Khargone. This tragic incident resulted in one fatality and left several others severely injured.
According to IANS, Deepak Yadav, the investigation officer, reported that the accident took place around 9 a.m. on Monday. A.K. Chand, known as Munna Karma (55), was riding his motorcycle to buy chillies when a car traveling at high speed from the opposite direction struck him and another individual, Kailash (52), from Karondiya village.
Additionally, Shubham, a resident of Jhapri village, was injured while riding with his five-year-old daughter on the back.
A video capturing the incident went viral on social media, showing the car crashing into a neem tree, bringing it to a standstill.
