Jammu, Feb 28 (NationPress) On Friday, J&K Police successfully confiscated the assets of five Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) terrorists located in Ramban district of J&K, currently residing in the Pakistan-occupied region of Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).

Authorities disclosed that they have taken possession of immovable assets belonging to five members of the outlawed terrorist organization HM in the Gool locality of Ramban district.

“The five individuals, now in PoJK, are Saraj Din (48) from Sangaldan, Reyaz Ahmed (45) from Dalwah, Farooq Ahmed (46) from Banj Bhimdassa, along with Mohd Ashraf (50) and Mushtaq Ahmed (47) from Moila,” stated an official.

The official elaborated that these terrorists have crossed into PoJK and are actively operating from there, with intentions to liquidate these assets to finance their militant endeavors.

“The confiscation of properties belonging to these five exfiltrated militants in the Gool area marks a significant move towards dismantling terror funding networks and curbing the revival of militancy in the region,” he mentioned.

This action sends a firm warning to terrorists in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, signaling that attempts to reignite terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir will not be tolerated.

“Security forces are dedicated to fostering long-term peace, stability, and development in Jammu and Kashmir while taking decisive action against those who seek to destabilize the area,” he commented.

The official noted that the five terrorists had crossed over to PoJK to obtain arms training and engage in militant operations in India.

“The seizure order, authorized by the sub-divisional police officer in Gool, prohibits any sale, lease, or transaction involving these properties without the consent of the Jammu and Kashmir Police or other designated authorities,” he added.

This seizure will effectively eliminate a potential source of terror financing that could have been utilized to restore Hizbul Mujahideen’s influence in the region.

“The families of these individuals will now encounter legal and financial challenges, restricting their ability to provide indirect support to militant activities,” the official stated.

Following directives from Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the police are committed to achieving zero infiltration and maintaining zero tolerance towards terrorism.
