New Delhi, Dec 28 (NationPress) Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shah on Sunday paid tribute to the late former Union Minister Arun Jaitley on his 73rd birth anniversary.
In a message shared on X, Home Minister Shah remarked: "Honoring Arun Jaitley ji on his Jayanti. An unmatched constitutional and legal authority, as well as a phenomenal speaker, Jaitley ji’s legacy as a parliamentarian is everlasting, and his influence on pivotal legal matters will be remembered fondly."
He further stated: "His committed efforts in fortifying the party through his profound legal insights will endure through every trial of time."
Jaitley’s wife, Sangeeta, participated in a modest gathering at a park in south Delhi to commemorate the late leader.
Speaking to IANS, she shared: "He frequently visited this park for his daily walks, which his supporters subsequently named ‘Arun Jaitley Park’. Today marks his birthday, a day he cherished, and we are hosting tea today in his honor, which he adored."
Earlier, prominent figures including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda, Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav, and Science Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh paid floral tributes to the esteemed Padma Vibhushan awardee, born on December 28, 1952.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also acknowledged Jaitley’s significant contributions to nation-building and the mentorship of BJP leaders.

BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad also offered heartfelt tributes to Jaitley, stating: “He was a senior leader, and I held a close and respectful bond with him, akin to that of an elder brother. Most importantly, he was instrumental in bringing the NDA government to power in Bihar,” Prasad conveyed to IANS.
“As the National General Secretary, he oversaw Bihar and later proposed Nitish Kumar as Chief Minister in 2005. Prior to this, he served as Railway Minister under former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee,” he elaborated.
In Patna, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar attended a state event on Jaitley’s birth anniversary, garlanding his statue alongside several Bihar government ministers to honor the late leader.
