Meanwhile, earlier on Sunday, the Indian Army shared a video highlighting the Republic Day preparations, showcasing the nation’s military strength.
"As the country gears up to celebrate Republic Day 2026, Indian Army contingents are rehearsing with precision, pride, and unwavering dedication. Take a look at the discipline that characterizes the Indian Army," the force shared on X.
The parade will feature six marching contingents from the Indian Army, including a unit from the newly formed Bhairav battalions, which are elite commando units trained for rapid operations and border duties.
A select group of animals from the Indian Army's Remount & Veterinary Corps (RVC) will also participate in the parade, showcasing two Bactrian camels, four Zanskar ponies, four birds of prey, ten Indian-bred Army dogs, and six traditional military dogs.
