Republic Day Camp: Army Chief Inspires NCC Cadets to Shape the Nation's Future

New Delhi, Jan 9 (NationPress) The Army Chief, General Upendra Dwivedi, made a visit to the NCC Republic Day Parade Camp located at Delhi Cantonment on Thursday, where he reinforced the significance of the cadets' roles as the forthcoming leaders of a prosperous and robust India.

During his address, he urged the cadets to consistently pursue excellence and highlighted that serving the nation extends beyond the Armed Forces. He emphasized that the foundation provided by the NCC prepares them for leadership positions across various sectors.

The Army Chief praised the NCC’s altruistic contributions to national service and development. He commended the cadets for their enthusiastic involvement in numerous community initiatives, including blood donation drives, environmental conservation efforts, and social awareness programs.

Reflecting on his own experiences as a cadet, he illuminated the vital role that today’s cadets will assume in the journey towards Viksit Bharat.

Gen Dwivedi concluded his address with best wishes for the cadets’ future pursuits, reiterating the significance of their roles as the future leaders of a thriving and resilient India.

He ended with a quote from the late General Bipin Rawat, the first Chief of Defence Staff, stating, "silently carve out your identity, for the winds will sing your praise."

As part of the event, the Chief of the Army Staff inspected the Guard of Honour, which included contingents from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and female cadets.

He also enjoyed a band performance by the Government High School from Mizoram. Gen Dwivedi appreciated the cadets’ efforts in creating a theme-based ‘Flag Area’ that represents social awareness initiatives and community development campaigns.

NCC cadets displayed their talents in model crafting, showcasing both static and functional ship models. They also presented a brief cultural program that reflected their heritage and dedication to ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ through music, vocal performances, and demonstrative arts.
