New Delhi, Jan 22 (NationPress) The Republic Day Camp of NCC introduced a fresh dimension with cadets from 21 friendly nations participating in the DG NCC Camp under the prestigious Youth Exchange Programme. Indian cadets also took part in the ‘At Home event’ organized by the Corps chief.
The 195 delegates explored the Flag Area and Hall of Fame, where they learned about various initiatives by the Government of India and the vital role of NCC as a dynamic Nation-Building Youth Organisation, as stated by an official.
The visiting cadets toured India Gate and the National War Memorial, gaining insights into the bravery and sacrifices of the Indian Armed Forces' fallen soldiers.
In a related event, NCC cadets at the R-Day Camp were invited to the residence of the Director General of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), Lt Gen Virendra Vats, for the ‘At Home’ event.
“The DG NCC and other officers welcomed the cadets with great warmth, creating an inviting and friendly atmosphere. The event was filled with joy and enthusiasm, with cadets smiling and relishing the occasion, making it a truly unforgettable experience,” noted an official on the Corps’ social media.

Earlier on Monday, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi visited the NCC Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2026, inspiring participants to embody the principles of unity, discipline, and integrity while dedicating their lives to the nation.
Admiral Tripathi received a Guard of Honour upon his arrival, presented by NCC cadets from the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings.
He acknowledged the remarkable contributions of nearly 72,000 NCC cadets in civil defense operations during Operation Sindoor.
Admiral Tripathi praised the innovative training strategies implemented by NCC, which include initiatives related to drone operations and cyber awareness.
“India's youth are a force for global good,” echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief of Naval Staff expressed confidence in the youth's potential to shape Viksit Bharat by 2047.
He reaffirmed the Indian Navy's commitment to supporting NCC cadets through training initiatives like Puneet Sagar Abhiyan, specialized camps such as the All India Nausainik Camp, hands-on experiences in seamanship, sailing, and yachting, ship attachments, overseas deployments, and educational visits to Indian Navy vessels, submarines, and shores.
