Hyderabad, Sep 10 (NationPress) The police in Hyderabad, in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of External Affairs, have effectively deported a Pakistani national.
On Wednesday, law enforcement officials reported that Muhammad Usman, also known as Md Abbas Ikram, aged 48, was deported on Tuesday, September 9, via the Attari Border in Punjab.
This individual had unlawfully entered India through Nepal in 2011 and was implicated in four criminal cases filed in Hyderabad. His sentences ranged from one month to five years.
After finishing his legal proceedings, he was placed in the Detention Centre at the Central Crime Station (CCS), Hyderabad, on September 7, 2024. Following the necessary formalities, he was handed over to the Pakistan Rangers.
Usman, hailing from Piplan in Pakistan, was apprehended by the Cyber Crime police on June 1, 2018, in the Chaderghat area for extorting his Hyderabadi wife by threatening to post videos of her minor daughter on social media. After serving his sentence, he was released in 2023.
However, he found himself back in CCS after being implicated in another case of domestic violence.
The Detention Centre at CCS, which was inaugurated on August 29, 2018, has housed 158 detainees from 19 nations, with 150 of them having been deported. Last month, authorities deported 20 Bangladeshi nationals involved in illegal residency and human trafficking through the Indo-Bangladesh border.
This group, including nine women, was taken into custody during operations across the territories governed by the police commissionerates of Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda. They were found in possession of Bangladeshi documents and were placed at the Detention Centre at CCS while their cases were processed.
The police communicated the details of these individuals to the Bangladesh embassy through the Ministry of External Affairs. The Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) and the Ministry of Home Affairs were also informed.
A team from the Border Security Force (BSF) escorted the deportees to a designated entry point on the India-Bangladesh border for repatriation.
