Mumbai, Aug 13 (NationPress) Maharashtra's Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated on Wednesday that the collaboration with International Business Machines (IBM) is crucial for realizing the vision of a 'Viksit Maharashtra'.
He further emphasized that India is now recognized as the world's fastest-growing economy.
"The aspiration for a Viksit Bharat is intertwined with the realization of a Viksit Maharashtra," remarked Chief Minister Fadnavis.
Expressing optimism, he noted that IBM will play a significant role in the state government's 'Mission Viksit Maharashtra'.
His comments came during the inauguration of IBM's new office in Mumbai.
CM Fadnavis conveyed his enthusiasm about IBM's establishment in the city, stating, "IBM will collaborate with the state government to drive development through quantum computing and artificial intelligence technologies."
"The advancements in quantum computing are transforming various aspects of life. This technology's influence is expanding across all industries. Maharashtra is poised to be at the forefront of this technological evolution. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with IBM is pivotal for the state's advancement, focusing on innovation and technology transfer. This agreement will also help identify opportunities that support the Government's Quantum mission and strategic initiatives," the Chief Minister remarked.
He acknowledged that climate change poses significant challenges for the agricultural sector.
This technology is expected to contribute greatly to sustainable agricultural practices, he stated.
"Utilizing this technology will enable us to address the issues faced by farmers," added the Chief Minister.
In a recent post on the social media platform X, CM Fadnavis shared, "I thoroughly enjoyed exploring IBM's innovative workspace in Mumbai, witnessing firsthand how technology, AI, and creativity are shaping our future. The AI-driven cricket simulator was particularly captivating and exemplified India's journey towards becoming a digitally empowered and technologically advanced nation."
