New Delhi, Sep 9 (NationPress) The inauguration of the Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad’s Dubai Campus is set to be the highlight of Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan’s two-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), starting on Wednesday, as stated by an official.
With the goal of enhancing bilateral ties in the education realm, Pradhan will engage with prominent UAE leaders, Ministers, policymakers, academicians, and representatives from both Indian and UAE institutions to promote partnerships in education, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
On September 11, the Minister will join Dr Abdulrahman Al Awar, the UAE Minister of Higher Education, for the inauguration of the Dubai Campus of IIM-Ahmedabad.
Both Ministers will delve into the current educational collaborations between their nations. Following this, he will attend a Round Table Conference for Indian Higher Education institutions based in the UAE.
As indicated by an Education Ministry official, the two-day visit on September 10 and 11 aims to cultivate Academic Excellence and Innovations while exploring new partnership opportunities to fulfill the aspirations of students and youth from both countries.
On Wednesday, Pradhan will also meet Sara Musallam, Chairperson of the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK).
During his visit to the IIT-Delhi’s Abu Dhabi Campus, he will inaugurate the Atal Incubation Centre (the first foreign centre) and launch PhD and B. Tech programs.
The Minister will have interactions with students and faculty members, as noted in the statement.
Later that day, he will visit the BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi and commemorate the first anniversary of a private Indian university’s Dubai Campus.
In Dubai, the Minister will also take part in the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ plantation drive at the Consulate, engage with CBSE school principals at a Teachers’ Day celebration, and inaugurate Atal Tinkering Labs in UAE Indian schools, according to the statement.
He will wrap up his visit with discussions with the Indian diaspora in Dubai.
