New Delhi/Dubai, Sep 11 (NationPress) The Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan recently celebrated the opening of the IIM-Ahmedabad Dubai campus, marking a significant milestone in the globalisation of India’s educational landscape.
“It is a tremendous privilege to witness the inauguration of the IIM Ahmedabad Dubai campus by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. This event represents a substantial advancement towards the globalisation of India’s education as envisioned by PM @narendramodiji,” Pradhan remarked on X.
“The Dubai campus of IIM Ahmedabad will showcase the finest of India to the world. Dubai has become the ideal launchpad to promote the spirit of ‘Indian in essence, global in perspective’ with the establishment of this international campus. I am thankful to HH @HamdanMohammed for enhancing the India-UAE knowledge partnership,” he added.
“In alignment with the ambitions set forth in the National Education Policy 2025, we aim to internationalise the education framework in India, which is a dynamic economy today,” he stated in a video shared on his X account.
He spoke of a productive meeting with leaders of Indian educational institutions operating in the Gulf region and expressed optimism for increasing collaboration in the area.
Minister Pradhan also mentioned his meeting with Sara Musallam, Chairperson of the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK), on Wednesday.
During his visit to the IIT-Delhi Abu Dhabi Campus, he inaugurated the Atal Incubation Centre (the first of its kind abroad) and introduced PhD and B. Tech programs.
Earlier in his UAE tour, the Minister offered prayers at the BAPS Hindu temple on Thursday.
He described the BAPS temple as an “impossible miracle” and lauded its breathtaking beauty, creativity, and inclusiveness.
Pradhan also expressed profound respect for the selfless contributions of BAPS saints and the Swaminarayan Sanstha for their “civilisational achievement” abroad.
He noted that this temple stands as a beacon of India’s enduring values of harmony, peace, and spirituality on the world stage and extended his highest regard for the selfless service rendered by BAPS Swamis.
He emphasized that the temple not only exemplifies remarkable craftsmanship but also reflects the collective devotion and sacrifices of numerous volunteers and devotees.
Furthermore, he stated that this Mandir will forever symbolize India’s cultural pride and spiritual resilience, bridging hearts across nations and serving as a reminder of the lasting power of faith and service. He also mentioned that the temple will inspire future generations.
