New Delhi, Dec 5 (NationPress) - In a late-night raid, the Delhi Police’s Outer-North district successfully dismantled an illegal bar operating in the Samaypur Badli region, leading to the detention of 25 individuals and the confiscation of liquor, hookahs, and sound equipment, as reported by the Delhi Police on Friday.
This operation was initiated following credible information regarding an unauthorized establishment situated at Samaypur Main Chowk.
Officials stated that the raid took place during the night of December 3-4, led by a team under Inspector Shailendra Singh Jakhhar, the SHO of the Samaypur Badli police station.
The team, comprising SI Satender, SI Parmod, HC Karamjeet, HC Shakti, and HC Vishal, promptly arrived at the location with patrolling staff and discreetly monitored the venue.
The police noticed a number of young individuals entering a building with a suspicious demeanor. They followed them to the second floor, where they discovered a cafe named 'Three Boxes Cafe' operating beyond the legal hours.
Upon entry, the team was met with loud music emanating from within. Approximately 16-17 males aged between 20-30 and 7-8 females aged 20-25 were found lounging on sofas inside the cafe.
According to the police report, 3-4 waiters were serving beer and whisky to the patrons, with ornate hookahs placed on the center table around which groups were gathered smoking. Additionally, liquor was discovered stored in the kitchen refrigerator.
The cafe's manager and owner, identified as Anil, was unable to provide any licenses or permissions for serving alcohol, hookahs, or operating the place.
Consequently, authorities confiscated 37 beer cans, two bottles of whisky, one empty Jordy’s Bar bottle, around eight hookahs, a sound system, and several counterfeit currency notes of Rs 50 denomination.
